Myofascial Massage

Myofascial massage is a technique used to treat injuries and discomfort, reducing pain and increasing range of motion. Myofascial massage differs from other types of massage in that it targets the fascia - the membrane surrounding muscles - rather than the muscle itself. Since fascia completely encases every muscle in the body, imbalances in the fascia can have serious effects on your range of motion and comfort level. While other forms of massage can overlook the fascia, myofascial massage focuses specifically on releasing tension in this important membrane.

Pregnancy Massage

Pregnancy Massage is a style of bodywork designed specifically for pregnant women. Pregnancy is a time when a woman's body endures tremendous stress due to dramatic physical and emotional changes. Using various techniques specially developed for the expecting mother, Pregnancy Massage helps release the pain and discomfort experienced throughout pregnancy. The benefits are profound, including emotional support, the relief of joint pain due to extra weight and postural imbalance, and improved breathing and relaxation.

Chair Massage

$1 per minute

On-site chair massage is a great way to get a massage on-the-go or in the workplace. Chair massage is performed seated in a specialty chair created for that purpose. It is performed while the client remains completely clothed, primarily on the back, neck, head, arms, and hands. Sessions are usually 10 - 15 minutes long, so it is perfect for a refreshing relaxer in the workplace.

Many companies will offer this service as a monthly benefit to their employees.

Hot Stone Massage

$100 per 90

Hot Stone Massage is a style of massage that is performed utilizing heated stones. The heated stones are used to massage the muscles, and then may be placed at specific sites on your body to deepen relaxation and promote circulation in your muscles. Muscles that are heated with these stones release tension and stress much more deeply and quickly than with a traditional massage. The overall experience is very relaxing, nurturing, and rejuvenating.

Note:  This is the only service I offer which requires the use of oil. As the stones must be pre-heated, same-day appointments are not available.

Sports Massage

Sports Massage is a type of massage designed for highly active people who engage in athletics. Engaging in sports is harsh on the body and can often lead to injuries in both the short and long term. Sports Massage enhances performance and prolongs a sports career by helping to prevent injury, reduce pains and swelling in the body, relax the mind, increase flexibility, and dramatically improve recovery rates. Sports Massage is also highly effective in aiding the rapid recovery of an athlete from an injury by encouraging greater kinesthetic awareness and in turn promoting the body's natural immune function. Please be sure to keep me up to date on where you are in your training cycle, so the massage can be tailored to your changing needs.

Pediatric Massage

The benefits of massage extend to children as well as adults. Young people today are under a lot of pressure at school, in sports, and among their peers. Massage may help children maintain good posture and muscle tone, reduce stress, get sick less often, and sleep better. Research has also shown benefits for children experiencing a variety of conditions, including asthma, ADHD, autism, dermatitis, cerebral palsy, cystic fibrosis, Down's syndrome, and PTSD.

Sessions are 30 minutes for children ages 3 - 10   $20

                   60 minutes for children ages 10 - 16  $40
